FastTask Plus is a utility that does the same thing as FastTask, but uses a different interface to do it. FastTask Plus has also been expanded to include support for H/PCs, H/PC Pros, and Palm-size PCs. Rather than using the Task Manager type interface as FastTask does, FastTask Plus lists all the currently running applications on a popup menu, displaying both the application name and icon. From the popup menu you can switch to an application by selecting it, or you can choose from the following options:

Close Current
Close All But Current
Close All

We will continue to offer both FastTask (for those who like the Task Manager interface) and FastTask Plus (with the new popup menu interface). Registration numbers for FastTask will also work to register FastTask Plus!

Version 1.0 (build 8): (July 8, 1999)

Added sound and a  'busy' cursor while building the task list. This makes it easier to tell when you've tapped the FastTask Plus icon.
Optimized the task building code a little. The menu should draw a little faster in this version.

Version 1.0 (build 7) bug fixes: (June 2, 1999)

Released from Beta!
Modified the setup program to NEVER overwrite toolhelp.dll if one already exists on the device. This seems to fix the last of the reports from beta testers.

Version 1.0 (build 6) bug fixes: (May 11, 1999)

Fixed a small bug that would cause the Tips dialog to always appear when launching FastTask Plus even if you cleared the 'Show this dialog' checkbox.

Second Beta Release.
Fixed setup bug in H/PC Pro PC Install program.
Added a hot-key (WindowsKey-F) that will pull up the FastTask Plus popup-menu.
